Craft Instant Green Tea

The box arrived with an extra plastic wrap to keep everything sealed. The expiration date was about 15 months out, which is plenty of time to run through the 25 individual tea packets. The powder in the packets does have a crystal look to it. There is almost no scent to the powder, like I would expect from tea. This feels much closer to the instant coffee of teas, as opposed to something like a matcha powder. With so very little powder in the packet (only about 0.6g) I expected the tea to be very week. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it makes a dang good cup of tea when following the directions. 8 oz of water to 1 packet is much stronger than I would have thought possible. At nearly $1 per packet, I think the price is still ridiculous. BUT I do have to say the product quality is much higher than I expected, and this could just be a more premium product for which I am not in the target audience.

The packets are small, convenient, and easy to open. The powder dissolves beautifully in water, no clumps or grittiness at all. The flavor is pleasant but quite mild, and I found I needed to use two packets to get the strength I like. Since they’re already on the pricey side, having to double up makes them feel like an even weaker value for the cost.

This instant tea is perfect for travel or busy mornings when brewing isn’t an option. The quality is consistently high, and it’s clear care went into the formulation and packaging. That said, the flavor is milder than a freshly brewed cup, and some may find it a bit weak unless using two packets. At nearly $1 per serving, it’s not the most economical choice for daily use, but for convenience and reliability on the go, it’s a worthwhile indulgence.

I am an avid tea drinker and I usually use loose leaf tea but it is not the most convenient to make at a work. I drink tea mostly hot, so I have not tried this cold. I had no issues dissolving this. It’s more of a powder than crystals to me. It has a mild flavor on its own. I probably over steep my green tea, but this still felt pretty mild. I did try two sachets and that tasted stronger like I am used to. I will try this cold to recreate some refreshers! It is easy to throw a few sachets in my bag for work, and the caffeine is a life saver. All in all, I recommend. I took a star off because it takes 2 sachets to get a good brew. I think in an effort to make sure it’s mellow, they reduced the amount per sachet. A bigger sachet would make these 5 stars.

It’s fine for those who prefer a very light taste, but for me, it’s just average. Still, it’s practical, easy to use, and worth trying for convenience.
