Typical of many Korean instant beverages, this black tea needs 2 packets to fully receive its flavor. I buy a lot of instant Asian beverages, so have learned this. I love that CHAYEAH's Instant Black Tea is truly unsweetened, as so many state unsweetened yet add some form of a natural sweetener: this is a pure staright black tea. It's light if you use 1, it's very good when you add 2. Another quality Korean instant beverage item!

I tried these today at work and was mystified to learn how something could be both 100% black tea but also be in crystal form - tea isn’t a crystal. Then I opened the packets and found they held a fine powder - neither leaf tea nor crystallized. After reading it looks like this is brewed and freeze-dried. I added two packets to my cup and could have used at least one more. The flavor is good but mild. It’s really convenient especially for iced drinks, but for everyday use I think I’ll stick with regular tea bags because they let me customize my flavor a little more effectively.

These packets are good for convenience, to toss in your purse in case you decide you want an iced tea on the go. But the flavor isn't the strongest. I had to use two to really taste anything in a full glass of water. I probably wouldn't reorder them for that reason, I think liquid tea concentrates are more flavorful and more bang for my buck. But you can't beat the convenience of being able to carry these around, so I will continue using them until I run out!

let me just say, this is extremely good plain. im not a big tea drinker (especially plain/no sugar), but these are ultra smooth and full of flavor, sugar really is not needed here, but you could easily add a half tbsp and this would be perfect for a latte or something. ive been having this with just water, 236g (8 us oz) at around 199-201f (93-94c) and it comes out perfect everytime. great quality tea, no complaints.the flavor profile to me is like a woodsy-malty-raw nut-floral type of taste, with a very faint tea-like sweetness (similar to the smell of something like chamomile, but in taste form). super delicious and full of depth, ive had no need to add sugar, it really is that good. if you want to change it up, you can use hot/warm milk and add this + some sugar and it's delicious too, but i kind of like the pure tea form more for this.Quick update: I tried this as a black tea latte (2 packets of tea with 4oz water, 4oz milk, half tbsp of sugar) and wow, why did I not know of this before??? It was so unbelievably delicious and smooth, almost creamy, the flavor was so light and airy and perfectly sweet. Massive shout-out to these for showing me a whole new world, I can't believe I've never tried this combination before.
